A BETTER WAY OF LIFE IN PLAI LAEM Hikaru Garden is a one-off collection of seven detached, Japanese-inspired villas arranged around a communal 5×12-metre pool and tropical gardens, on a single private, gated site in Plai Laem. There are no high walls or heavy electric gates between homes — just a low-key, car-light community a short walk from the beach. It sits in a peaceful village setting on the north-east side of Koh Samui, roughly 450 metres (about a six-minute walk) from a sunset-facing beach, with cafés and shops nearby and Choeng Mon, Big Buddha, the Bophut and Bangrak piers, Fisherman's Village and the airport all a short drive away — clear of the Chaweng traffic. THE HOUSE Each villa offers 142 m² of living space over two floors.
