Villa Mayavee is the apogee of modern Phuket oceanfront villa design. Big, bold, linear lines and large glass expanses overlooking the Andaman Sea set the scene of a design that seems to befit a James Bond movie set — indeed, among many who have visited, it is known as 'The James Bond Villa'. Situated on a cliff top, the villa faces westwards across the open ocean to glorious sunsets, securely and privately positioned at the end of a magnificent tree-lined boulevard of mature tropical trees within a spacious private residential estate of only eight other premium homes. From this position one can gain 360-degree views, especially from the iconic sunset roof terrace, which must rank as one of Phuket's finest viewpoints. Set in 3,100 m² of land, the villa has a gross floor area of 2,400 m², arranged in three distinct structural areas aligned in an 'S' shape when viewed from above. The central and most obvious part is the massive 'floating' main living, dining and show-kitchen area, running parallel to the oceanfront and overlooking the especially wide 21 × 5 m main infinity pool and sunbathing areas. This is linked to the dramatic owner's suite — with its own 15 m private lap pool, spacious dressing area, linked office suite, formal dining area, commercial-grade kitchen, staff areas and internal garage — while a separate guest block houses three spacious guest bedrooms and a well-equipped gym with sauna. Custom designed by Martin Palleros of Terra Designs, all materials were carefully chosen to exude quality and textural richness — from natural exterior stonework and Japanese pool tiles to solid wood and French limestone and sandstone floors, oversized glazing and a who's who of European furniture: Poliform, Gandia Blasco, Boffi, Dornbracht, Paola Lenti and Minotti. Multiple covered and open-air terraces provide al fresco dining and relaxation throughout, in addition to the internal air-conditioned formal, informal and TV lounges. The villa was comprehensively redecorated in 2023 and sits within gated Waterfall Bay with 24-hour on-site security and fully managed common areas.
