This four-bedroom villa sits directly on the beach at Bophut, on Koh Samui's calm north shore, with the sand a step beyond the garden wall and Koh Phangan on the horizon. Fisherman's Village — its evening market, restaurants, bars and shops — is about a hundred metres along the front, and Samui Airport is roughly five kilometres away, so the house combines a genuinely beachfront position with everything within walking distance. The entrance sets the tone: an antique carved teak door beneath a thatched canopy, flanked by young palms, opening into a house that is otherwise clean and contemporary. Inside, the living and dining rooms occupy one long volume under a pitched ceiling with exposed timber beams, glazed on both sides so the whole space can be opened to the garden on one side and the sea on the other. A lap pool is set flush into the lawn on the seaward side, edged with sun loungers and framed by mature palms and flowering trees, with an outdoor dining area and a barbecue under the eaves. The garden runs right down to the beach, giving the villa an unusually generous stretch of green for a beachfront plot of 400 m². All four bedrooms have king beds, air conditioning and ceiling fans, finished with dark hardwood floors, white walls and simple black-and-white photography; several look straight out to the water through sliding doors. The bathrooms are done in large-format grey stone with sculptural vessel basins on timber shelves, walk-in rain showers and glazed slots that bring in daylight.
